THE TIGER MODEL

We have developed a holistic and comprehensive learning and development model which is scalable, flexible and fully customisable according to specific client needs.  

This model is appropriate for all organisation sizes, industries and sectors.

The model presented below sets out the fully-fledged Tiger Consulting training, learning and development methodology. However, this model is modular in nature and organisations can utilise particular dimensions of the model in isolation.

The key differentiating features of our approach are:
  • A needs analysis framework that is simple yet extremely effective. This framework uses input from multiple stakeholders involved in the learning and training programme, such as management and training recipients.
  •  Increased levels of trainee accountability and buy-in for the learning content and approach through trainee involvement in the programme from analysis, through to delivery, through to follow-up.
  • Learning and development content framed within the business context, culture and environment to ensure programmes take into account the day-to-day realities and challenges encountered by the business.
  • Flexible delivery methods appropriate to addressing identified knowledge, skill and competency gaps and geared towards maximum learning transfer to the job.
  • Option to deliver programmes on-site or off-site.
  • Post-programme follow-up to ensure that (i) learning is being put into practice, (ii) behaviour and performance improvements are tracked and additional support provided as required (iii) learners are assisted in overcoming unforeseen barriers in making the training work.
  • Programme evaluation by feedback forms (e.g. happy sheets) is standard practice.  However, the Tiger Model™ goes beyond a rudimentary assessment of programme reactions to evaluate training and development outcomes at higher levels.  This involves evaluation of actual learning, subsequent behaviour change and improvement, and ultimately individual and organisational results.
